Professor Guo-Liang Han - Flutist - Beijing

Guoliang Han, born in Beijing, China, was admitted to the Middle School Attached to the Central Conservatory School of Music to study flute at the age of 14. In 1982 he entered the Central Conservatory School of Music. He won the first prize in 1985 China National Flute Competition. In 1986 he got his teaching position in CCSM after graduation. In 1988 he began studying in the United States and received a Master of Flute degree at Boston University School for the Arts. Han was lectured by Professor Yongxin Wang of CCSM and has studied with Aurele Nicolet, Jean Pierre Rampal, Alain Marion and Julius Baker. At present Han is serving in the China National Symphony Orchestra as the Principal Flute and teaching in CCSM.
