Jane Rosenson - Harpist
Jane Rosenson has appeared as soloist and Principal Harpist in orchestras both in the United States and abroad. Currently, Jane is Solo Harpist with Opera Australia. She has performed with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and Hong Kong Philharmonic under conductors Antal Dorati, Jerzy and Neemi Jarvi. As soloist, she has made several appearances with symphony and chamber orchestras in America, Canada and Hong Kong. She has appeared in recital, including live broadcasts from CBC (Canada), Radio4 (Hong Kong) and ABC (Australia).. Jane has received special recognition for her performances of American contemporary music. Noted composers, George Rochberg and Ned Rorem have prasied Jane for her dazzling artistry and commitment to the performance of new works. Recently she has made separate recordings in Australia with vocalist Jeff Duff and violinist Kirsten Williams.
